High ceilings, ancestral portraits and eighteenth-century-style oak paneling draw visitors into the formal estate. Silver-gilt walls adorn the sweeping hallway leading from the Grand Entrance Hall to the Upper Gallery. A rock crystal chandelier hangs above jewel-tone and contemporary furnishings, art and antiques in the space that functions as living quarters as it did for its original owners – the Doheny family.
