William R. Eubanks’ name is synonymous with refined, classic interior design. At the mention of his name,
one envisions a comfortable, but timeless, decoration of sumptuous silk and damask fabrics, period antiques
of Great Britain and the European continent, rich jewel-tone colors, Flemish tapestries, Old Master paintings,
fine porcelains, and Aubusson and Oushak carpets. He is equally comfortable working in styles ranging from
contemporary to modern. From the firm he opened in Memphis, Tennessee in 1976, his interior design and
antiques business has grown to New York and Palm Beach, where he has an elegant showroom at 400 Hibiscus
Avenue.
Eubanks has projects throughout the United States and abroad. He holds a B.F.A. in Interior Design. He is
an Allied Member of ASID, Associate Member of IIDA, Professional Member of the Institute of Classical
Architecture and Classical America, and Member of Shelter Interiors Design Alliance Advisory Board. In
2007, William R. Eubanks once again participated in Veranda Presents the Palm Beach Red Cross Designer
Show House by designing the dining room of the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. On January 24, 2007, Eubanks
received the inaugural "Star of Design" award from the Design Center of the Americas in Dania, Florida,
for the category of Interior Design. He also served as the Keynote Speaker for the Opening Ceremonies of
Market Week at the Design Center of the Americas for Veranda in 2006, and again for Shelter in 2007. In
December 2005, Eubanks was named one of the top fifty designers in the United States by Elements of
Living. In April 2007, Eubanks established the William R. Eubanks Distinguished Lecture Series in Interior
Design at the University of Memphis, as well as the James Weaver Scholarship. One of a handful of
designers worldwide to be interviewed for inclusion in a cutting-edge interior design textbook by Dr.
Frank Koe, Fabric for the Designed Interior, Eubanks’ design work is
also featured as the book’s cover art.
Eubanks’ award-winning work has been featured in many publications, including Great Designers of the World,
Veranda, Quest, InStyle, Palm Beach Illustrated, MidSouth Magazine, Showcase of Interior Design, Elements
of Living, Florida Design, Spectacular Homes of Tennessee, Southern Accents Book of Color, The Best of
Florida Design, 100 Designers’ Favorite Rooms, Fabric for the Designed Interior, Palm Beach Society,
